Responsible for the strategic planning,  design,  implementation,  and management  of  security systems infrastructure to ensure the protection of personnel, assets, and operations against potential security threats.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive security systems strategy aligned with the organization's goals and risk management objectives as well as Identifying and implementing appropriate security technologies and solutions to mitigate risks effectively.
- Lead the design and architecture of the security systems infrastructure, including access control systems, CCTV surveillance, intrusion detection systems, alarm systems, and related technologies to ensure scalability, reliability, and integration with other business systems.
- Oversee the administration,  configuration,  and maintenance of security  systems to  ensure  optimal performance and functionality as well as implementing and enforcing security policies, access controls, and data protection measures.
- Conduct regular  risk  assessments  of  the  security  systems  infrastructure,  identifying  vulnerabilities, potential threats, and areas for improvement.
- Lead investigations into security breaches, providing analysis, documentation, and recommendations for remediation.
- Manage relationships with security  system  vendors,  contractors  and  service  providers  and  ensure adherence to service level agreements.
- Lead  system  upgrades,  enhancements,  and  implementations  to  improve  system  performance, functionality, and security posture.
- Ensure security systems and processes comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and internal policies.
- Foster collaboration  and  effective  communication  with  cross-functional teams,  including  IT,  physical security, and operations, to ensure integrated security solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident response protocols to generate comprehensive reports on system performance, incidents, and security metrics for management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or its equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Proven experience as a Security Systems Administrator or similar role with a minimum of 3 years working experience in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, compliance requirements, and data privacy standards.
- In-depth knowledge of security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Strong expertise in system architecture, design and administration of complex security infrastructure.
- Head-on experience in network protocols, infrastructure and cybersecurity principles relevant to security systems.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident response and security investigations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of System Configuration and Maintenance is required.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to monitor, analyse, maintain and improve present system practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
